Standard delivery is usually within 3-5 working days, though during peak seasons, this may extend to 7-10 days. If you require delivery on a specific day, we will do our best to accommodate—please contact our sales team to discuss options.
Next-day delivery is available for orders over £399. The cut-off for next-day delivery is 10am for next working day dispatch.
Once your order is placed, a team member will contact you to schedule delivery. Please note that delivery dates are estimates, and while we strive to meet them, unforeseen delays can occasionally occur. We will inform you if your delivery is delayed. Cheshire Plants is not liable for any costs due to late delivery but will always aim to complete delivery as soon as possible.
Some deliveries are sent via a Pallet Network Courier, with plants securely packed onto pallets. Deliveries are made via vehicles between 7.5 and 40 tons, equipped with a tail lift. The driver will unload using a pallet truck.
If your property has vehicle access restrictions (e.g., narrow roads, low bridges, overhanging branches), please inform us when placing your order. Pallet deliveries are kerbside only and require a hard-standing surface — they cannot be delivered on gravel, grass, or steep slopes.
If access issues prevent delivery, or if a failed delivery occurs due to customer fault, a redelivery charge may apply. If you have any concerns about access, please contact us before ordering.
We inspect plants carefully before dispatch but accept that very occasionally things may go wrong.
If you have ANY discrepancies with your order we ask that you notify us within 48 hours of your delivery/collection date and that plants are NOT planted until any disputes are resolved. We cannot accept disputes for short deliveries or damages unless reported to us within 48 Hours of Delivery date.
You can return your plants (within 7 days of receiving your order) and we’ll help with the process of returning, we can advise on how to look after the plants until they are returned. Hedging Plants are perishable and it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure the plants are looked after until they are returned safely to the nursery)
If you’d like to return your plants because of a change of plan or if we do not agree that the plants are significantly damaged (the loss of a few leaves in transit or a loose pot on arrival, for example, wouldn't be harmful to the plants), then we may ask you to pay the full or partial return costs if you still wanted to return them. We’re very reasonable and always aim for complete customer satisfaction using a common sense approach.
Should you wish to return any products that you have over-bought, no longer require or purchased in error, you will incur both a return cost (different charges for pallets and boxes) and/ or the original cost of delivery incurred by Cheshire Plants. Please contact us for charges and/or to organise a return. Plants will be subject to a quality control check from our Nursery upon return before any refund is authorised and processed.
